Gone fishing

Last year I travelled to Port Adelaide (SA) to meet with the South Australian Blue Crab Pot Fishers Association to witness firsthand their sustainable fishing practices.

We set off at 4:30am on The Silver Spectre, into the Gulf St Vincent. Our skipper and host for the day was Dennis Holder. He and his wife Karen own the Silver Spectre, which operates out of the Gulf St Vincent and Spencer Gulf.

Dennis and his crew were so accommodating, making us bacon and egg sarnies to get our tummies settled for the day ahead.
