Friends at the Queen Vic

I get by with a little help from my friends at the Queen Vic Market.

Back in 2013 when I opened the first crab shack, I was lucky enough to have my favourite Melbourne market a stones throw from my front door!

I was able to foster long lasting friendships with the stall holders, finding common ground in our passion for fresh, locally sourced, sustainable produce.

(It wasn't long before I was inducted into the 8am coffee cup whisky ritual with a few cheeky chicken boys who shall remain nameless).

The moment you walk into the market you are bombarded with a rustic smorgasbord of fresh fruit and vegetables, seafood, poultry and meats.

Inspiration for the crab shack menu came naturally with the abundance of beautiful produce at my fingertips. Allowing the seasons to influence how I created my dishes came naturally with a quick trip across the road.
